“The Academy gave me hope and showed where I can go with music and the inspiration not to give up. Because of the fantastic opportunities and experiences I have had, friends I’ve made, and tuition by musicians with a wealth of experience and expertise, I now feel able to go on to study music full time at university.”

– Have a look at what else students have said about the Sheffield Music Academy here.
Sheffield Music Academy is a small charity with ambitious aspirations to fund and support more than 100 exceptional and passionate musicians in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, East Ridings and beyond. In these uncertain times it is crucial as well as maximising the bursary support we receive from the Department of Education, we diversify our income to be more resilient and provide a tailored, flexible offer to our students. We already have support from a number of trusts, businesses and individuals and would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in the development of our young musicians.
You can make the difference that will allow us to continue to inspire young musicians and help them develop and grow as individuals. Financial support from individuals and organisations will allow us to offer financial support to students that could not attend the Academy otherwise, but miss out on the necessary government funding. It will also enable us to organise workshops and concerts that showcase the work of the Academy, broaden the musical horizons of our students and ensure that we remain relevant and provide exciting opportunities for the young people we teach. Concerts and workshops form part of our outreach work and bring The Sheffield Music Academy to potential students and supporters and without the financial support from trusts and foundations, individuals and corporation we would not be able to continue to organise those.
You could sponsor one of our students, provide a one-off or regular donation towards our instruments fund, offer services or products in-kind,use Givingabit.com when shopping online, or simply attend of one of our concerts and tell your friends!
