The group is open to any parent, guardian, carer or ‘friend’ who is able and willing to give some time and practical help to the group.

So far, the friends have raised enough money to purchase equipment for the academy (piano stools, music stands, a piano cover, a video recorder, …) and have organised events that combine socialising for students and families with fundraising.
The Friends are pleased to announce that the reached their target of £5000 to fund a new piano for the academy. We are continuing our efforts and would love to hear your ideas on future events and funding schemes.
All money raised will be used to support the learning of students of the Sheffield Music Academy.
A choir has been set up that is run by parents for parents at Sheffield Music Academy.
It doesn’t matter if you have no previous experience of singing – everyone is welcome to join in.
The choir takes place on Saturdays at 8.30.
The tuck shop forms an important part of our fundraising – to sign up to bake or to help run it please go to our new electronic pinboard Tuck shop Rota
